ALTERNATE Project is a European iniciative on aviation sustainability. In collaboration with Chinese partners, the aim of the project is to understand the use of Aviation Alternative Fuels from a braod perspective. It includes effects on feedstocks, live cycle assessment, aircraft and engine levels, as well as on business models of the airliners.
With a duration of three years, from 2020 to 2022, a group of research and industrial institutions have worked together to ensure the applicability of Sustainable Aviation Fuels, as well as to pursued the sustainability of air transport.
ALTERNATE is one of the four European-funded projects on Aviation Sustainability. The ACGA cluster includes these four related projects; namely, ACACIA, CLIMOP, GREAT and ALTERNATE.
